An English R&B girl group which is composed of Alexandra Buggs, Courtney Rumbold and Karis Anderson. The group was originated from London, England and has genres of R&B, pop, soul and hip-hop.

The group was created on May 2010 and has recording contract last August 2011 to Warner Music Group. The writer/manager Jo Perry put the members and created Stooshe after a series of auditions. Luckily, Alexandra, Karis and Courtney were the successful auditionees. Karis Anderson exposed that their band name originated from the urban word “Stoosh” which means ”describes something ‘expensive’”

The group released their first single, “Betty Woz Gone” in October 2011 and it was then announced that Stooshe was nominated for BBC’s Sound of 2012 poll on the 5th of December in the same year. Stooshe garnered another achievement after they release their next single, “Love Me” featuring the American rapper Travie McCoy on YouTube on March 14, 2011 and the video went viral and soon called as “an internet hit”. Moreover, ”Love Me” peaked number 5 on the UK Single Charts.

The group recorded another video, the “Hot Stepper” which is a cover of the 1994 hit “Here Comes the Hot Stepper” by Ini Kamoze. The video has the appearance of Adele and Bruno Mars. In addition, Stooshe’s album, Stooshe sold 37, 789 copies and still counting.

Stooshe was also nominated in Rising Stars of 2012 and the aforementioned Sounds of 2012.

#TheBlackHeartExperience

Stooshe released their second single, “Black Heart” last June 17 this year. “Black Heart” peaked to the Top 3 on UK chart. The music video was now becoming viral on social media site. In lieu to that, the group also recorded an acappella version of the song and also an acoustic version.

After hearing the song, “Last Song Syndrom” or LSS would probably dominate listeners, furthermore, due to its popularity of the video, Stooshe uploaded a video titled “Do The Black Heart Routine”  wherein the girls is teaching the ‘Black Heart” dance.




#TheGirls
Alexandra Stephanie Buggs was born on November 1, 1989 (22 years old). She is living with her parents and her four siblings. She joined the group in June 2010.

Courtney Mariah Rumbold is the youngest of the group. She was born on July 11, 1992 (20 years old) and she was the first to join. Courtney is very open that she prefers females.

Karis Lya Anderson, the eldest of the group born on October 17, 1989 with the age of 22. She is currently residing with her father.
